Hillcrest Close, Shuttlewood,
Bolsover- client:
ACIS
This development of 20 homes was provided on a site previously
housing a single detached property surrounded by extensive gardens.
The site offers lovely views of open countryside whilst still being
close to local services and amenities in Bolsover and wider local
transport links.
The site was granted planning permission in
December 2009 with work commencing on site in March 2010. The
properties have been designed by Brian Dearlove Architects and
built by Westleigh Developments with development project management
services delivered by POD. The majority of the properties are
social rented houses together with two apartments and two Rent to
Homebuy houses.
The total cost of the project was £2.8 million
which was funded with a grant of £1.3million from the Homes and
Communities Agency with the balance provided from private
finance.
All the houses are provided with solar panel
collectors which help achieve level 3 of The Code for Sustainable
Homes. The scheme was completed in May 2011 with eager tenants
moving in immediately.
