Welcome to Ostler Walk
POD Developments worked in
partnership with L&H Homes, Lindum Construction and Boston
Borough Council to provide a choice of 41 affordable homes in
Kirton, near Boston.
This £5 million development
was built on land originally owned by the Sir Thomas Middlecott
Trust. In negotiations with the Trust, POD purchased a share of the
land in partnership with Kirton Parish Council and the HCA.
The development, partly funded by the Homes
and Communities Agency (HCA) consists of twenty five, 1, 2, 3 and 4
bedroom homes which have all been allocated through the local
Choice Based Letting scheme. Sixteen, 2 and 3 bedroom houses are
also available for low cost purchase through the Shared Ownership
and Rent to Homebuy schemes.
The scheme, named after
former Longhurst Chairman, Alan Ostler, includes an extra three
acres of recreational ground which has been made available for
residents living on Ostler Walk and families in the Kirton
community to enjoy.
Mr. Ostler’s family and
friends along with representatives from L&H Homes, (a member of
Longhurst Group), POD Development, Boston Borough Council, Kirton
Parish Council, Sir Thomas Middlecott Trust and construction
company Lindum Group joined together to celebrate the occasion.
